“Black in the 80s” On-Air Identity

A three part VH1 series exploring and celebrating the achievements and advancements African-Americans made in pop culture during the 1980’s. From historical breakthroughs in film and television, to the birth of a new genre of music, these milestones forever changed the landscape of American popular culture.

GH avisualagency art directed, designed, illustrated, and animated all of the graphics for the series (open, bumpers, transitions, and lower thirds) as well as created the logotype for the show.

All photography was supplied to GHAVA by VH1
