X Games VIII Campaign

GH avisualagency was approached by Weiden + Kennedy, New York to work on aspects of the visual direction for the X Games VIII campaign. Various promotions were executed in the style of an illustration that was done for Select Magazine a few months before the initial contact. For months afterwards we would get calls from people wanting us to reproduce the “Graphic Havoc” style. Initially we were like “eh? What style?”; then we realized it was the hyper-collage. A trend that finally got boring but stuck around the studio for a quite a while.
